Canada and Hong Kong have long enjoyed long standing and positive trade relations. As a testament to this success relationship, there are a large number of Canadian enterprises with successful business operations in Hong kong, covering various sectors and industries. Many of them have also ventured into Mainland China and other parts of Asia. Their success in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia has strengthend their home-based business operations and contributed to the growth of the Canadian economy.

 

The Hong Kong-Canada Business Achievement Award is a joint initiative between Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) and HKCBA to recognize the business achievement of the Canadian businesses which have expanded to Hong Kong as well as showcases the strength of innovation and business leadership of Canadian companies in the international market.

 

There two categories in this award program: Outstanding Business Performance and Outstanding Business Innovations. Nominations were submitted to be reviewed by the award adjudication panel in early 2013 and finalists in each category were selected and were invited to one of two award presentation events in Vancouver and Toronto based on the location of their companies' headquarters.

 

The Western Canada finalists for the 2014 Hong Kong-Canada Business Achievement Award were invited to attend the award which took place during HKCBA Vancouver's Hong Kong Connection Gala on March 12, 2014, where the winner for each category was announced.
