The HKCBA provides a forum for members and the community to obtain information related to the Canada-Hong Kong (and Asia) bilateral trade policies, and regulations as well as gain access to trade and investment opportunities in both regions.

 

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events ranging from speakers' luncheons and workshops to social events which enable attendees to learn from Canadian companies operating in Asia as well as Asian companies operating in Canada. In addition, these events provide a platform for professionals and entrepreneurs alike to connect with each other and develop high-level business relationships.

• Speakers' Series and Business Workshops: These seminars, panel discussions and dialogues feature topics relevant to professionals and entrepreneurs doing business in Canada and Asia. Topics range from success stories, business innovation, operational insight as well as updates on trade regulations and policies.

 

• Social Events: The HKCBA Vancouver Section organizes a number of signature events each year to provide opportunities for members and guests to network and make new contacts in a social setting. These events include the annual Chinese New Year Ball held in the spring and the annual HKCBA golf tournament in the fall.

 

• Trade Missions: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in conjunction with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO), Hong Kong Tourism Board and the HKCBA organizes a number of Canadian trade missions to Hong Kong for businesses looking to expand into Asia as well as develop long-term trade and investment relationships.

 

• Hong Kong Forum: As a member of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide (FHKBAW), HKCBA members have the opportunity to participate in the annual Hong Kong Forum Conference, an exclusive gathering of business professionals and entrepreneurs across all industry sectors worldwide to gain insight and exchange information on business expansion in Asia through Hong Kong. The HKCBA leads a Canadian delegation to this event every December, in conjunction with the HKCBA National Annual General Meeting.
